Dahlia mosaic virus (DMV)

DMV is a plant virus that is transmitted by aphids and is characterized by a mosaic pattern of light and dark green areas on the leaves of infected plants, as well as stunted growth and distorted flowers. DMV is a positive-sense RNA virus, meaning that its genetic material is RNA and can be directly translated into proteins by the host plant's cellular machinery. The virus replicates in the plant's cells and spreads throughout the plant, causing damage to the plant's tissues and reducing its ability to grow and reproduce.
